Deutsche Bank takes part in the UK’s largest youth speed networking event

Thursday, October 15 saw the UK’s largest youth speed networking event for careers advice. Hosted at Lord’s Cricket Ground the event forms part of the Mayor for London’s volunteering initiative. Five Deutsche Bank employees joined 400 other employees from 20 business sectors volunteering their time to provide valuable careers advice and guidance to 1,200 young people from schools across London.

Aligning with the Bank’s Born to Be youth engagement programme, this unique networking opportunity offered young people, aged 13-15, the chance to interact and engage with a number of different professionals from various business sectors. Each young person had four minutes to ask volunteers questions about their careers, training and voluntary work. As recent winners of the Mayor for London’s 2015 Corporate Volunteering awards, Deutsche Bank was invited to participate in the day to help inspire the next generation.

Thank you to our Deutsche Bank volunteers; Claire O’Brien, Hollie Seechurn, Kunwar Chohan, Toby Marsh and Peter Adams.

Claire O’Brien from Legal Risk Management said ‘I think it is really important to help young people at this stage in their life; it was enjoyable being able to potentially inspire the next generation.”
