Deutsche Bank welcomes Game Changers students

Deutsche Bank was pleased to welcome 25 Game Changers students to its Winchester House office at the end of May to experience the investment banking environment first hand. The students have all taken part in the youth engagement programme, Game Changers, a community-focused initiative which combines education and rugby to make a real impact on young people's lives, supported by both Deutsche Bank and our partner London Scottish Football Club.

The students were taken to the trading floors to experience employees operating in a live trading environment and actively engaged in a question and answer session with employees about their career paths

This is the second year of this initiative and over an eight-week period between January and March, 25 students most at risk of exclusion from school, experienced rugby as a vehicle to drive behavioural change through a comprehensive sports education programme. The programme has been designed and was delivered by Activate Sports, specialists in sports education and community programmes.

Deutsche Bank's UK employees volunteered their time to support both classroom mentoring sessions and rugby coaching as part of our corporate volunteering programme.

Game Changers is part of our UK corporate citizenship programme, Born to Be, which is committed to help young people fulfil their potential. We aim to reach over 160,000 young people in the UK through Born to Be programmes by 2017.
