Game Changers returns. Our life- changing education programme with London Scottish enters its third year

The eight week Game Changers programme starts on January, 20 and aims to encourage and motivate 25 students, nominated by their schools due to being most at risk of expulsion. Over an eight-week period, through a combination of regular playing sessions and classroom activates, the 12- 14 year olds develop their confidence, motivation and social skills.

For the past two years of the programme 92% of participants claim to have felt a sense of pride on completion of the course and schools have reported  increased attendance and concentration levels in class. In 2014 over 20 Deutsche Bank volunteers donated their time to support the project by coaching rugby or participating in an education session to increase employability skills.

This year, Deutsche Bank and London Scottish are teaming up with SKY Sports to profile the project on their youth sports programme of the same name, as well as giving the young participants a chance to visit the SKY film studio.

Game Changers is held at Richmond Athletic Ground and is part of the Bank’s Born to Be youth engagement programme which aims to help young people fulfill their potential. The programme, which was launched in 2013, aims to support 160,000 young people in the UK by 2017.
