Homeless children at highest level since 2011: support StreetSmart and SleepSmart to make a difference.

More than 90,000 children in England, Scotland and Wales are without a permanent home. Figures demonstrate an increase of nearly 14,000 young people living in temporary accommodation compared to comparative figures for 2011.


StreetSmart is a national fundraising campaign that runs every winter. Throughout November and December diners at participating restaurants can donate GBP 1 to local homelessness charities by accepting the voluntary GBP 1 donation on their bill. SleepSmart their sister campaign raises funds by adding a voluntary GBP 1 donation to every hotel bill.


The whole campaign is supported by Born to Be, Deutsche Bank’s youth engagement programme, who pay for all the campaign costs meaning that every penny raised goes to help those most in need. Last year the campaign allocated more that 50% of their funds to youth homelessness and preventative projects. With child homelessness on the increase support of this campaign is increasingly vital, whether personal or work, related support the campaign by choosing a StreetSmart restaurant or SleepSmart hotel.
