London Scottish reach Championship Semi - Final play off

As main sponsor of the club, Deutsche Bank is extremely proud to be supporting the club at such an exciting time. Kenny Baillie, CEO of London Scottish, joined the club in 2013 and there has been great progression since his appointment, with the club jumping up five places in two years. “The progress London Scottish has made over the past few years has been incredible. From the lowest league in England in 1999 to third in the Championship and the 15th best club in the country is something we are all proud of” said Baillie.

Deutsche Bank’s partnership with London Scottish has also extended to the development of one of the Bank’s most impressive and successful Born to Be programmes; Game Changers.  A programme which uses rugby to help disengaged boys fulfil their potential, turning around negative attitudes and disruptive behaviour.  Now in its third year, the programme works with students aged 13–14 referred from west London schools where they are at risk of exclusion.  Over an eight-week period, the combination of regular rugby sessions and classroom activities develops their confidence, motivation and social skills at a vital stage of the boys’ personal development.  This year, an impressive 24 boys completed the course, with one describing the experience as “amazing”. London Scottish have had a number of injuries this season but have managed to retain form and a place in the top four since the very first weekend of the season. Captain, Mark Bright, has well and truly earned his title this season, scoring an astonishing 24 league tries to date and is comfortably the Championship’s top try scorer." This season has been fantastic and I have been really proud with how the squad have shown quality and resilience to secure a top four finish for the very first time.”

If London Scottish succeeds in the semi finals, this would be the first time in history they will have appeared in a Championship final.
