Deutsche Insurance wins Reactions’ “Best Asset Manager” award for fourth straight year

Deutsche Insurance Asset Management (Deutsche Insurance) was named “Best Asset Manager” by Reactions magazine for the fourth consecutive year. Reactions is the leading publication for the global insurance market. The award is determined by the votes of C-suite executives of the major global firms in the insurance and reinsurance industry.

According to Reactions, its Global Awards highlight "top-class performance and innovation within the global insurance industry." Reactions recognises the achievements of companies and individuals, and contributes to raising standards across the industry.

"To have our clients recognise us for our ability to deliver service, performance, and innovative solutions is very gratifying, and this award reflects a truly global effort," said Randy Brown, Global Head of Deutsche Insurance."Our steadfast commitment to having ‘one focus’ on the needs of insurance companies, with a goal of maintaining a trusted partnership, has helped Deutsche Insurance retain this award."

Over the past year, Randy highlighted a series of developments that helped Deutsche Insurance maintain its position as one of the two largest global managers for insurance company assets:

· Successful integration of the former Cologne Gen Re third-party insurance managed asset business—Oppenheim VAM—thereby expanding Deutsche Insurance’s advisory and accounting capabilities for the German, and broader European, market

· Continued strong investment performance in its fixed-income portfolios, namely credit and core fixed-income in both Europe and the US, and municipals

· Active introduction of "alternative" asset classes—such as floating rate loans, high yield, real estate, dividend equities, commodities, and green investments—as a way to help clients in their search for yield
