Many stories of homelessness begin with unemployment and family breakdown. Those scenarios are more likely to be experienced by young people from deprived backgrounds. And without safe and secure accommodation, education and employment become much harder to access.
Our partnership with StreetSmart raises money to help the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless, with a focus on young people.
StreetSmart is a national fundraising campaign that runs every winter. During November and December, participating restaurants across the UK add a voluntary donation of £1 to every bill.
Donations support local homelessness charities, so diners in Birmingham help the homeless in Birmingham.
A sister campaign called SleepSmart sees participating hotels add £1 to every hotel bill.
Deutsche Bank covers all the administration costs for StreetSmart and SleepSmart, which means every penny raised goes to those who need it most.
