Award recognizes commitment to underserved families

November 2016 │ New York

Deutsche Bank was honored by the Parent-Child Home Program (PCHP) at its 2016 Literacy Champions Gala in New York City on November 4.

The Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation has been supporting PCHP, a national early childhood literacy, parenting, and school readiness program, in the Bronx through PCHP partner agency Masa, Inc. since 2013, and through PCHP partner agency Leake and Watts since 2016.

“We thank Deutsche Bank for their consistent and continued work,” said Sarah Walzer, PCHP CEO, when recognizing the bank. “Because of them, we are able to bring PCHP to more families who we otherwise would not have been able to reach.”

Nicole Leach, Head of Education for Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation, accepted the award at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City and said, “We are very honored to be recognized by the Parent-Child Home Program and are proud to be working with organizations such as Masa and Leake and Watts in their efforts to support some of New York City’s most under-served communities.”
