Inhouse Consulting
Who we are
Inhouse Consulting is a unique function at Deutsche Bank. As in-house management consultants, we support all divisions and central functions of the bank by creating and implementing strategy and management solutions to help them achieve their strategic goals.
We serve the bank's top management teams across the globe and run a diverse range of projects, such as evaluating smart-sourcing decisions, introducing innovative financial products and restructuring divisional teams.
What we do
As Inhouse Consultants we take on various tasks. The following 3 projects are a sample:
Product introduction
Project: The introduction of a new financing product, specifically designed to meet the requirements of SMEs, which was securitized as a new type of capital market asset once the portfolio had been established.
Contribution of Inhouse Consulting: On behalf of joint venture partners Global Banking and Global Markets, Inhouse Consulting supervised and supported the introduction of the new "db-SchuldSchein" debenture program from the original concept development to its securitization.
Process optimization
Project: Restructuring and reorganization of the credit processes of Corporate Investment Bank (CIB).
Contribution of Inhouse Consulting: Development of the transformation process using the Six Sigma approach.
Project management
Project: Acquisition of Berliner Bank by Deutsche Bank.
Contribution of Inhouse Consulting: Running of the project management office (PMO) which managed and coordinated the spin-off of Berliner Bank from Landesbank Berlin and its integration into the Deutsche Bank Group.
How we are organized
We are an integral part of the central infrastructure of the bank, based in Frankfurt/Main. Thanks to our central positioning, we offer independent services to all divisions and infrastructure areas. At present our team comprises approximately 50 consultants, 30 percent of whom are female.
If you join our team, assuming you perform well, you will take on increasing amounts of responsibility and have a defined career path to lead you from the entry-level position as junior consultant or consultant through senior consultant to project manager or senior project manager.
