Human Resources
Who we are
Deutsche Bank Human Resources (HR) supports our divisions in all Human Resources matters to realize the bank's strategy. Not only do we provide efficient core human resources services across divisions and regions, we also develop tailor-made solutions through consulting. Thanks to our global presence, the human resources organization is able to efficiently respond to the needs of all operating areas, divisions and regions.
What we do
How we are organized
Our Human Resources Division is structured into three departments and is represented by employees in more than 35 countries around the globe. Consequently, many of our HR colleagues are assigned to international teams. The regional Human Resources managers are in charge of the five geographic-organizational regions (UK, US, Europe/Middle-East/Africa, Asia Pacific and Germany).
HR Solutions
Comprises our HR call center HRdirect, with headquarters in Berlin and Bangalore as well as the departments Administration, Payroll Governance, HR IT Systems, Reporting, Service & Vendor Management and Operational Excellence. These departments cover fundamental HR tasks such as payroll accounting, personnel data maintenance and operational process management. HR Solutions also ensures that the HR specific systems run smoothly and are continuously developed. In Germany, the above mentioned departments are part of the newly established DB HR Solutions GmbH.
Moreover, the HR Solutions employs Product Specialists that focus on Resourcing (Recruitment, Employer Brand & Marketing), Development (incl. Apprentice programs) and Reward (Compensation & Benefits). These staff members are in charge of the professional implementation and utilization of the human resource products in our business divisions.
Centers of Expertise
Mirroring the above, the departments we refer to as Centers of Expertise employ experts who are responsible for developing and designing concepts for Human Resources product groups:
Resourcing: Is responsible for positioning the employer brand and takes care of all recruitment methods and processes for apprentices, graduates and professionals.
Reward: Covers compensation and incentives, including corporate benefits.
Development: Designs talent management programs and deals with executive development, training, organizational development, corporate culture and diversity.
Employee Relations: Provide expertise and advise on employee related issues including managing grievances and disciplinary matters. These activities are complemented by market research and the development of corresponding processes and policies.
Business Partners
As part of their HR relationship management functions, HR Business Partners provide strategic consulting services to the business managers in their respective divisions. As general Human Resources services coordinators for their divisions, they are supported by the above-mentioned teams of experts with regard to recruiting, talent and development programs or compensation issues.
These three units are flanked by additional functions, such as the Chief Operating Officer's department. It determines the global and regional development and management of all control and supervisory matters within the Human Resources area. This comprises, among other things, Risk Monitoring, Facility Management, Crises and Business Continuity Management, Logistics and the HR Management Information Systems department, which analyzes quantitative staff data.
