Regional Management
Who we are
Regional Management is a worldwide management function across businesses and infrastructure areas in Deutsche Bank Group. The Regional Management function covers regional responsibilities worldwide. Country heads and management committees are established in the regions and countries to enhance client-focused product coordination across businesses and to ensure compliance with regulatory and control requirements, both from a local and Group perspective. Additionally in a global context, the Regional Management function represents regional interests at the Group level and enhances cross-regional coordination.
What we do
To ensure a successful and efficient execution of its mandate, Regional Management focuses on the following three pillars:
Governance
- Provision of local management and governance frameworks throughout the regions/ countries
- Coordination of support & control functions across regions /countries
- Resolution of regional/ country control and risk issues
- Support of regional and local committees
- Management of corporate governance processes and approvals
Franchise Development
- Support of cross divisional development of local markets, Deutsche Bank's regional client franchise and strategic positioning
- Identification and exploration of regional business opportunities
- Management and tracking of organizational development initiatives across business lines and support and control functions, both domestically and cross-border
- Development and execution of programs, projects and business plans
Performance Management
- Development and monitoring of regional cross-divisional performance measures, and provision of superior analytics
- Improvement of efficiency and effectiveness by:
- identifying and realizing cost and process synergies
- supporting the transformation of the Bank's operating model
- reducing corporate complexity and bureaucracy - Supporting country management, business lines, and support and control functions in preparation of country management information
How we are organized
Deutsche Bank operates in six regions and is present in 76 countries worldwide. Deutsche Bank's regions are:
- Germany
- Europe
- Americas
- Middle East/North Africa (MENA)
- Asia-Pacific
- Japan
The Regional Management hubs for the above mentioned regions are located in Frankfurt (for Germany and Europe), New York (for Americas), Dubai (for MENA), Singapore and Hong Kong (for Asia Pacific) and Tokyo (for Japan).
