Between June 27th and July 6th, 2008, the world of equestrian sports will get together at the CHIO Aachen for the longest tournament since 1961.
The “Concours Hippique International Officiel”, first held in 1927, is one of the most renowned tournaments in international horse riding. Each year, the world’s best equestrians compete in dressage, show jumping, four-in-hand driving, vaulting and eventing. The CHIO’s traditional festival atmosphere also contributes to its tremendous popularity. In order to live up to the continually increasing number of guests, the 2008 CHIO has again been extended to ten days.
Deutsche Bank has been supporting the CHIO for more than half a century, due to our firm belief that the perfect interaction between horse and rider represents trust and collective effort better than any other sporting discipline. Our “Deutsche Bank Preis Großer Dressurpreis von Aachen” is one of the most renowned prizes in this most prestigious of all horse riding disciplines, dressage. The Deutsche Bank Stadium is another contribution to the CHIO’s attractiveness, praised by experts as a model competition site. The CHIO museum, established in 2007 with our help, is also worth a visit.

“I had a fantastic week at the CHIO Aachen, and it was rounded off by my winning the most important prize: the 'Grand Prix Kür Großer Dressurpreis von Aachen' sponsored by Deutsche Bank on Satchmo on Sunday”, summed up Isabell Werth, having won this prize for the ninth time. “Deutsche Bank’s long-term and generous commitment is of great value for the dressage discipline, and I personally would be delighted if I could continue my bout of success, which I enjoyed in the 1990’s with the Deutsche Bank prize.”
