History of Deutsche Bank in Pakistan 
1870 1870

Deutsche Bank was founded in Berlin to promote and facilitate trade relations between Germany and international markets.
1989 1889

Foundation of Deutsch-Asiatische Bank in Berlin – as a special institution for the East Asian market – by a German bank syndicate led by Disconto-Gesellschaft and Deutsche Bank.
1962 1962

Deutsch-Asiatische Bank opened its first branch for Pakistan in Karachi.
1972 1972

Deutsch-Asiatische Bank and its branch in Karachi were integrated into the newly founded European Asian Bank.
1983 1983

European Asian Bank opened a branch in Lahore.
1986 1986

European Asian Bank became Deutsche Bank (Asia).
1988 1988

Deutsche Bank (Asia) was merged into Deutsche Bank AG. The branches in Karachi and Lahore began to operate under the name of Deutsche Bank AG.
1996 1996

Deutsche Bank opened its third branch for Pakistan in Islamabad.
2004

Deutsche Bank executed the first sovereign bond issue of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan since 1999.
2005

Deutsche Bank acted as joint bookrunner for a US$ 800 m. due tranche sovereign bond offering, the largest-ever funding by the Republic.
