History of Deutsche Bank in Peru
Deutsche Bank was founded in Berlin to promote and facilitate trade relations between Germany and international markets.
Deutsche Ueberseeische Bank, founded in 1886 in Berlin as a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, opened a branch in Lima under the name Banco Alemán Transatlántico.
The expansion of the network in Peru started with a branch in Callao. Further branches followed in Arequipa (1906) and Trujillo (1907).
The Trujillo branch was closed.
The Callao branch was closed.
The two remaining branches of Banco Alemán Transatlántico were closed and liquidated.
Deutsche Ueberseeische Bank was incorporated into Deutsche Bank.
Deutsche Bank received a banking license and launched a subsidiary in Peru, Deutsche Bank (Perú) S.A. in Lima.
