Accessibility
What is accessibility?
In the online context, accessibility describes the extent to which services can be used by anyone, including people with physical disabilities as well as those with technical or age‑related limitations.
Accessibility goal
The goal is to design webpages so that every user can access content as easily as possible. The online offering is continuously reviewed and optimized to meet this objective. Webpages are built according to rules and standards intended to ensure the highest possible level of user‑friendliness and usability. These standards are regularly reviewed – also with the help of users – and adapted to evolving requirements.
What is the difference between a low‑barrier and a barrier‑free online offering?
A low‑barrier online offering can be used by most people, whereas a barrier‑free offering can be used by everyone.

The website’s tools and functions
1) Description of links
ALT Tags in images:
Images are provided with alt tags (the term “alt attribute” is synonymous) that describe the respective image. This allows, for example, people with visual impairments who use assistive technologies such as screen readers to read the corresponding descriptions or display them in Braille.
TITLE tags for links:
Links are provided with descriptive text. This applies to all internal and external links, as well as to links pointing to downloadable documents.
2) Compliance with standards
The pages of the www.db.com website were created based on XHTML 1.0 from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). For digital accessibility reasons, these pages are intended to comply with Level AA of the W3C's WCAG 2.2 recommendations and largely comply with the EAA. However, some pages still contain barriers that we are actively working to remove.
