Tech veteran Apjit Walia joins Deutsche Bank Research

Tech veteran Apjit Walia has joined Deutsche Bank Research as a Global Technology Strategist. Apjit will be advising institutional and corporate clients on major technology trends, which look set to be a major global economic and geo-political driver in the 2020s.

Walia brings over 20 years of experience covering technology stocks as lead analyst & strategist and managing technology funds. He was the top-ranked analyst at RBC Capital with several first on the street calls on semiconductor and tech cycles. The Wall Street Journal has ranked him among the ‘Best on the Street’. He also brings extensive buy-side expertise working as a portfolio manager at Caxton Associates and Moore Capital and most recently with Graham Capital. His primary focus has been tech sector themes, single stock alpha and emerging technologies.

“In September, we successfully launched a new research product suite catering for the clients of Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank and announced the formation of a dedicated team, to focus on issues that corporates face and to provide original insight into the challenges and opportunities these bring. With Walia’s arrival we are strengthening our thematic research and reaffirming our commitment to the Corporate Client community,” said David Folkerts-Landau, Global Head of Research and Chief Economist.
