Abdulhadi Shayif
Chairman of the Board of Directors – Independent Member

Mr. Shayif joined the National Commercial Bank (NCB), Saudi Arabia in 1975. He worked in all areas of the Bank and in 1999 became the General Manager of the Bank, and was also Member of the Board of Directors, Member of the Executive Committee, Member of the Risk Committee and Member of the Credit Committee. He took early retirement in September, 2005.

Mr. Shayif sits on the board of several companies including listed companies in Saudi Arabia.


Jamal Al Kishi
Vice Chairman – Executive Member

Mr. Al Kishi is the Chief Executive Officer of the Middle East and Africa region and Chairman of the Middle East and Africa Executive Committee.
Jamal joined Deutsche Bank AG in Saudi Arabia as CEO and Head of Corporate and Investment Bank in June 2007 after spending well over 12 years in Corporate and Investment banking in Saudi.
Prior to joining Deutsche, Jamal occupied various roles in Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, Structured and Project Finance, among others.
He holds an MBA in Finance and Banking and an Engineering Degree and has attended several specialized training programs including Executive Education at INSEAD.


Ashok Aram
Executive Member

Mr. Aram is the Chief Executive Officer Deutsche Bank, Europe, Middle East and Africa “EMEA” (excluding Germany and the UK)

As the regional CEO for Deutsche Bank EMEA, Ashok Aram is responsible for the development of the Bank´s EMEA franchise across all businesses, the management of client relationships, and the implementation of the region´s growth strategy while safeguarding risk and capital. He reports to Co-Chief Executive Officers John Cryan and Juergen Fitschen.

Ashok first joined Deutsche Bank after his studies in Japan. Over a 20-year distinguished international career, Mr. Aram has held a variety of senior leadership roles with the Bank based in Tokyo, Singapore, Frankfurt, New York, London and for the past five years in Dubai, during which time he has led some of the largest capital raising deals in Europe, Russia/CIS, Turkey, the Middle East and Africa. He re-joined Deutsche Bank in September 2010 after a year at Abraaj Capital where he was Managing Director based in Dubai.

In addition, Ashok was made a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum (Davos) in 2010.


Sameer Al Hamidi
Independent Member

Mr. Al Hamidi is the Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director of SACO, a Saudi list company specializing in wholesale and retail trading of equipments and tools. He was General Director of SACO from 1981 to 2011.

Mr Alhamidi hold Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration in 1980G from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, United States of America.

Mr. Al Hamidi sits on the board of several companies including listed companies in Saudi Arabia.


Alex von zur Muehlen
Executive Member

Alex joined Deutsche Bank in 1998 as a derivatives structurer and marketer in its Global Markets Division.

He was appointed Head of Corporate Derivatives Coverage for Germany & Austria in 2003 within DCM.

In 2005 he became Co-Head for Client Coverage Germany & Austria comprising Debt Capital Markets and ICG activities for the region.

Alex was appointed Co-Head of Debt Capital Markets for Europe in 2008.

He became the Group Treasurer for Deutsche Bank in November 2009.

Alex graduated in 1998 and holds a degree in Business Administration from the School of Economics and Law in Berlin, Germany.


Marco Kistner
Executive Member

Marco Kistner was appointed Chief Risk Officer for Asia Pacific (CRO APAC) in May 2014.

As CRO APAC, Marco is responsible for overseeing all Risk activities in the region, working closely with the Bank’s business divisions to help achieve their strategic goals and maintaining strong dialogue with regulators. Marco sits on a number of Credit Risk Management Committees and is a Board Member of Deutsche Bank A.S. Turkey and Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia. In his role as CRO APAC, he sits on the Risk Management Committee, the Risk Executive Committee, and the APAC Regional Executive Committee. He also maintains his role as Global Head of Credit Risk Management (CRM) Emerging Markets.

Marco joined Deutsche Bank in 1984 and spent more than seven years in Corporate Banking and International Trade Finance in several locations across Germany. He held various senior positions in Credit Risk in Lahore, Manila, Singapore and as Head of CRM Japan in Tokyo. Between 2008 and 2011, Marco was Global Head of CRM Securitization. In 2010, his role was extended to cover Emerging Markets globally.

Marco relocated to Singapore from Frankfurt in 2013.
