Fondazione Deutsche Bank Italia was set up in 2013 with headquarters in Milan, at the initiative of Deutsche Bank on the basis of the Group's considerable experience in the promotion of philanthropic activities. After Deutsche Bank Stiftung - the first Foundation of the Group, with headquarters in Germany - Italy is the Europe's first nation to have its own Foundation, which is further testimony of how important Italy is for the Bank.
Fondazione Deutsche Bank Italia introduces a new means of action: it is, in fact, a private non-profit entity created in Italy at the behest of the Bank in order to promote, implement and manage social responsibility projects in Italy and for its communities, in conjunction with high-ranking partner institutions. In addition, in carrying out this activity, it pursues the values at the heart of operations in Deutsche Bank.
While involved in a wide variety of areas, the Foundation has one main objective: to be close to people and to create value for them. In the field of social initiatives, it supports and assists disadvantaged communities, bringing out the very best in talents in areas such as scientific research and education; and promoting Italian excellence and products 'Made in Italy'.
Deutsche Bank Italy employees can take part in the Fondazione development thanks to corporate volunteering initiatives organized by the Fondazione itself. Employees can share their skills and get actively involved in the support of the Foundation itself. Today almost 15% of Deutsche Bank Italy employees are corporate volunteers.
"The Code of Talent" is the first project of the Fondazione.
