San Patrignano

The Community of San Patrignano is the most important anti-drug centre in all of Europe and it houses over 1,300 young people. From 1978 to the present day, San Patrignano has welcomed more than 25,000 people from hundreds of different nations, totally free of charge, without charges for either their families or the State, offering them a home, health and legal assistance, the possibility to study, learn a trade and return fully to society at the end of their recovery path.

Fondazione Theodora Onlus

The Foundation began its activity in 1995. Today it is present in 18 hospitals in 11 cities with 28 Italian Giggle Doctors who visit and bring a smile each year to more than 35,000 children in care . Theodora Foundation selects the giggle doctors, finances their training, seminars update and their continuous psychological counceling, as well as organises their activities, ensuring high quality visits. Giggle doctors are completely free for hospitals and, of course, for young patients' families.

Itaca Project Rome is a voluntary association founded in 2010 to offer free services to people affected by mental diseases and their families. The Association was inspired to Itaca Project Milan, founded in 1999, whose know-how, operational model and functional system were adopted in Rome.

The Community of Sant'Egidio

The Community of Sant'Egidio was set up in Rome in 1968, following the Vatican Council II. Today it is a movement of lay people with over 60,000 members, committed to spreading the Gospel and doing charity work in Rome, in Italy and in 73 countries on different continents. It is a "Church public lay association". The various Communities, spread all over the world, share the same spirituality and the foundations that characterise the Sant'Egidio path.

Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus

Since 1989, the non-profit organisation Banco Alimentare has been recovering food items throughout Italy which, despite being unopened and unexpired, would nevertheless be destroyed as they can no longer be marketed. Saved from destruction, they reacquire value and worth for those who have too little. The Banco Alimentare network works every day across Italy through 21 Banco Alimentare organisations located nationwide and coordinated by the non-profit Fondazione Banco Alimentare.

Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte

Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte is a private non profit organization set up in Milan in 1995. Its initiatives, which aim at a "new Renaissance" of the crafts, are directed chiefly at the young: training new generations of artisans, and thus rescuing métiers d'art activities and skills from the threat of disappearance, is in fact one of the objectives that the foundation pursues.

The Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano (FAI) is the National Trust of Italy.The organisation was established in 1975 on the model of the British National Trust. It is a private non-profit organisation. Its purpose is to protect elements of Italy's physical heritage which might otherwise be lost.
