Repository of Future Environmental Claims

In accordance with Article 6 (2)(d) of Directive 2005/29/EC (Directive concerning unfair business-to-consumer commercial practices in the internal market), as to be amended by Article 1(2)(b) of Directive (EU) 2024/825 (Directive empowering consumers for the green transition through better protection against unfair practices and through better information – “EmpCo”), companies will be required to provide consumers with publicly available evidence supporting any future-oriented environmental claims. This “Repository of Future Environmental Claims” provides an overview of Deutsche Bank’s EmpCo implementation plans and related independent third-party expert attestations supporting such claims.

In Germany, the requirements will be implemented through § 5 Abs. 3 Nr. 4 of the Unfair Competition Act (UWG).
