Deutsche Bank Partners with The Standard’s 2025 ‘Dispossessed Fund’ to Empower Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship

Deutsche Bank is proud to announce a new partnership with the 2025 ‘Dispossessed Fund’ campaign, focusing on Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship. This collaboration aligns seamlessly with the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility Education strategy, emphasising the development of professional and personal competencies through targeted initiatives.

Over the next three years, Deutsche Bank’s significant contribution to the fund will help support innovative and impactful grassroots charities through the London Community Foundation, which are dedicated to assisting young people in London who currently lack a clear path to employment:

  • 2020 Levels: Supporting young individuals annually from Black and racially underrepresented backgrounds through two core employment programmes across Liverpool Street, Farringdon, and Paddington.
  • My Big Career: Aiming to assist London youths aged 16-18 in building confidence, skills, and experience for successful employment transitions through workplace experiences, employability workshops, and coaching.
  • Steel Warriors: Targeting at-risk young people in Lambeth with ten 5-day full-time 'Made of Steel' employability programs, focusing on empowering marginalized youth and reducing knife crime.
  • Toucan Employment: Supporting young people with learning disabilities and autism each year in Southwark and Lewisham, aiming to reduce social exclusion by helping individuals find and retain employment.
  • Arts Against Knives: Aiming to support at-risk young people between 17-25 years old in Barnet annually, boosting their personal development and improving access to education, employment and training opportunities.
  • Urban MBA: Aiming to support young Londoners across three years through an alternative education programme focused on new technologies and AI to help them secure employment in emerging industries.

Deutsche Bank’s CEO for the UK and Ireland, Vathany Vijayaratna stated, “Working at the grassroots level is fundamental to finding enduring solutions to challenging issues. We know how crucial education is as a tool to enrich lives, and since 2013, our education initiatives have reached over 6.5 million people in more than 28 countries. We firmly believe that the Standard’s Dispossessed Fund will support young people who are disconnected from the traditional education system, helping them improve their confidence and learn skills that will help them enter the job market.”
