Deutsche Bank finances Atmos Renewables’ 470-megawatt Parron Wind Farm

Deutsche Bank commits AUD 100 million as sole lender for the Parron Maam Marang Wind Farm's 10-year tranche, supporting a renewable energy project expected to add up to 470 MW of generation capacity in Western Australia.

What Deutsche Bank provided

Deutsche Bank has participated in the financing of Atmos Renewables’ Parron Wind Farm in Western Australia, committing 100 million Australian dollars as sole lender for the transaction's 10-year tranche.

Located approximately 200 kilometres north of Perth, the Parron Maam Marang Wind Farm benefits from strong wind resources and is expected to comprise up to 78 wind turbine generators and add up to 470 megawatts of generation capacity to Western Australia’s electricity system. It is a new large-scale wind project in Australia and reflects broader investment in new generation infrastructure across the country as governments, utilities and investors work to add generation capacity.

The project is underpinned by a 12-year power purchase agreement with Synergy, Western Australia's state-owned electricity utility, covering 75 percent of generation output. It also benefits from revenue support through the Australian Government's Capacity Investment Scheme.

Why Parron Wind Farm matters

Parron Wind Farm represents an important addition to Western Australia's renewable energy pipeline. Our participation as sole lender in the transaction's 10-year tranche reflects Deutsche Bank's commitment to providing long-term financing solutions, our confidence in the quality of the asset and Atmos Renewables' broader platform. Rachel Chia, Head of Project Finance, APAC at Deutsche Bank

The financing supports the expansion of the Atmos platform, which comprises 20 assets and approximately 2.5 gigawatts of attributable capacity across wind, solar and battery storage technologies.

The transaction builds on Deutsche Bank's existing relationship with Atmos Renewables following the refinancing of its broader portfolio in 2025 and reflects the Bank's continued support for clients investing in renewable energy infrastructure across Australia.
