Deutsche Bank increases its donation for tsunami victims to EUR 10 million

Impressed by the large volume of voluntary donations by its staff, who have given in Germany approximately € 1,000,000 for the tsunami victims since December 30, 2004, the Group Board of Deutsche Bank resolved to make a donation of € 10 million for the victims of the flooding disaster in Asia. Deutsche Bank announced this donation during the gala programme "Wir wollen helfen - ein Herz für Kinder" presented by the German broadcaster ZDF and German newspaper BILD Tuesday night, January 4, in Berlin.

Josef Ackermann, Spokesman of the Board of Managing Directors and Chairman of the Group Executive Committee of Deutsche Bank: "Deutsche Bank and its staff members are deeply concerned about the plight of millions of people in the disaster area. With our donation, we want to contribute to bringing help quickly and effectively where help is needed, in order to ease the suffering of the people affected."
