Deutsche Bank raises over €27,000 for Dublin Simon Community

Deutsche Bank has raised €27,265 for the Dublin Simon Community, a charity aimed at preventing homelessness in Dublin.

Deutsche Bank Dublin raised the funds in close partnership with the Simon Community to support the locally-based Ushers Island homeless facility.  Deutsche Bank Dublin also completed a day long project to refurbish five rooms in the facility.  The money raised will go towards supporting the facility and its volunteers in 2011.  

In the presentation ceremony in March 2011, the CEO of Dublin Simon Community, Sam McGuinness, said the charity was delighted with the generous contribution from Deutsche Bank in Dublin. “This money will go a long way in assisting us to help people move out of homelessness and rebuild their lives,” he said. Deutsche Bank Dublin’s Corporate Social Responsibility chairperson, Ger Goggin, said they were pleased to be able to support charities that made a difference to their local community.

Deutsche Bank Dublin partnered with Dublin Simon Community again in 2011 to further support homeless programs in Dublin. Deutsche Bank employs over 200 people in Ireland and is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility activities globally.
