Deutsche Bank named top bank for international markets research in Australia two years in a row

Consistency in delivering high-quality insights to investors shines in uncertain times

Deutsche Bank has maintained its reign as the number one bank for international markets research in the KangaNews Fixed Income Trading and Research Poll 2025.

This was one of the bank’s strongest performances in the poll to date, having been recognised across international, securitisation, corporate and financial institution issuance research and for its support on deals and products.

The KangaNews Fixed Income Trading and Research Poll is an annual survey that assesses Australian sell-side research and secondary trading. It acknowledges the analysts and brokers that support the Australian debt market outside primary issuance.

“Being recognised for the second year in a row reflects the strength of our Fixed Income and Currencies platform in Australia,” Darren Boulos, Head of Global Foreign Exchange for APAC and Head of Australian Rates Trading shared. “It also points to the global research team’s consistency in delivering high-quality insights to investors, especially in a year where the market has been defined by global uncertainty.”

Deutsche Bank secured second place for secondary market support to Australian securitisation products, and also for supporting deals the bank did not originate in subsequent secondary trading.

Kalvin Fernandes, Credit Analyst in Australia, and Mark Stone, Head of Flow Credit Trading for Australia, were both ranked fourth for their research on the Australian Credit Market and Securitisation, respectively.
