Deutsche Bank has committed 160 million Australian dollars as part of a refinancing for Squadron Energy covering five operating wind assets across Australia and one under construction.
Squadron Energy, the renewable energy platform of privately owned Australian investment group Tattarang, develops, owns and operates renewable energy assets across Australia. Its portfolio comprises approximately 2 GW of wind assets spanning New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
The refinancing provides Squadron Energy with flexible, non-recourse financing to support approximately 1.5 gigawatts of operational wind farms and Uungula Wind Farm, which is under construction in NSW. The flexible portfolio financing can also accommodate Squadron Energy’s future growth, including the optionality to expand into battery energy storage projects.
