Deutsche Bank has announced the early extension of its long-standing sales partnership with Zurich Gruppe Deutschland (ZGD) until the end of 2042, thereby strengthening a central pillar of its Private Bank business. In parallel, ZGD's successful collaboration with DWS will also be continued long-term. All three partners are therefore sending a clear signal for continuity, growth, and the joint further development of their offerings for the private clients of Deutsche Bank and Postbank.
The early extension comes at a time when private pension provision in Germany is being intensively discussed and realigned. The partners are creating long-term planning security and underlining their shared goal of offering clients a broad spectrum of solutions for protection, provision, and wealth accumulation. These include both capital market-based and insurance-based offerings that take into account different needs and life situations.
The cooperation continues to encompass a broad range of life, risk, and property insurance products from Zurich, as well as DWS fund investment solutions. Both partnerships remain firmly integrated into the advisory services of Deutsche Bank and Postbank. At the same time, the partners aim to further expand their collaboration through investments in digital processes, offerings, and client service. This will enable clients to gain even easier access to modern pension and protection solutions.
Comments on the extension of the sales partnerships:
Dominik Hennen, Head of Personal Banking, Deutsche Bank
The current debate about the future of private pension provision shows how important a broad, reliable, and long-term oriented offering is. By extending our partnerships with Zurich and DWS, we aim to comprehensively support our clients in their pension decisions. Our ambition is to combine personal advice and digital solutions with capital market-based and insurance-based offerings, making provision and wealth accumulation simple and accessible.
Dirk Goergen, Chief Commercial Officer, DWS
The extension of our strategic partnership until 2042 is an expression of the great trust that Zurich Deutschland, Deutsche Bank, and DWS have built up over many years. We look forward to continuing and further expanding our successful collaboration in the interest of our shared clients. Together, we will continue to provide innovative and tailored solutions to create sustainable growth and long-term client value.
