Deutsche Bank Private Bank launches AI Academy for more than 20,000 employees

  • Role-based AI learning tailored to employees’ responsibilities and level of AI experience
  • Training ranges from prompting and responsible AI use to advanced capabilities such as AI agents and Agentic AI
  • Already available to around 3,500 employees, with a global rollout planned for all Private Bank employees

Deutsche Bank’s Private Bank has launched the PB AI Academy, a new learning initiative designed to equip employees with the skills and confidence to use artificial intelligence effectively and responsibly in their day-to-day work.

The PB AI Academy offers structured, role-based learning journeys tailored to employees’ responsibilities and level of AI experience. The Academy combines self-paced learning with instructor-led sessions, workshops and communities.

Training ranges from foundational AI skills, including effective prompting and the responsible and ethical use of AI, to more advanced capabilities such as AI agents and Agentic AI. Each learning journey includes around five to ten recommended trainings, providing employees with a clear starting point from which to develop their AI capabilities.

Yiping Li, Chief Operating Officer of the Private Bank of Deutsche Bank, said: “AI is making information more accessible than ever. What will increasingly set us apart is how we use it: applying judgement, expertise and a deep understanding of our clients. The PB AI Academy helps our people combine these strengths with the opportunities AI creates.”

The PB AI Academy is already available to around 3,500 employees across the Private Bank’s international locations. Over the coming months, Deutsche Bank plans to expand the initiative to more than 20,000 Private Bank employees. In Germany, the Academy is expected to be introduced during the first half of 2027, following consultation with employee representatives.

The Academy aims to strengthen AI literacy across the Private Bank, support the adoption of AI in day-to-day work and encourage experimentation, innovation and the sharing of best practices.
