Deutsche Bank recognised for LGBTQ+ inclusion in Australia and Europe
Deutsche Bank has been recognised in Australia and Europe for its continued commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion, underscoring the strength of its global approach to fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
In Australia, Deutsche Bank was named a Platinum Employer at the Australian LGBTQ+ Inclusion Awards for the fourth consecutive year - the highest level of recognition within the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI). The award places the bank in the top tier of employers nationally and recognises the ongoing work of the dbPride team. dbPride is Deutsche Bank’s global LGBTQ+ employee network which plays a central role in providing support for the LGBTQ+ community and allies across the bank.
Glenn Morgan, CEO of Deutsche Bank Australia and APAC Executive Sponsor for dbPride, was also recognised for his leadership, receiving the CEO of the Year Award for his commitment to visible allyship and inclusive leadership.
On the same day in Europe, Deutsche Bank was recognised by the European Pride Business Network at its Workplace Inclusion for a Sustainable Europe Awards as one of Europe’s leading organisations for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.
As a Global Hausbank, Deutsche Bank’s commitment to client success is matched by its focus on fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace. These recognitions reflect the bank’s belief that inclusion is integral to its culture, performance and long-term success.
These achievements come as June marks Pride Month globally, providing an opportunity to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and reflect on the importance of inclusion and allyship in the workplace and beyond.
About AWEI and EPBN-WISE Awards
The AWEI is the definitive national benchmark dedicated to LGBTQ+ inclusion in Australia, driven by the largest and most rigorous national employee survey designed to record the impact of inclusion initiatives on organisational culture. It is used to drive best practice and set a comparative benchmark for employers across all sectors. The submission required a comprehensive review of multiple elements across categories such as Deutsche Bank’s policies, benefits, prevention measures, LGBTQ+ diversity initiatives and awareness programs with detailed evidence.
The EPBN – WISE Awards are widely regarded as the pan-European benchmark for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion, recognising organisations that demonstrate leading practice across multiple countries and markets. The awards consider extensive survey insights and jury review, reflecting an evidence-based standard grounded in cross-border data and measurable impact.
