Deutsche Bank ranked number one for international markets research in Australia for third consecutive year

Bank recognised by clients in Kanga News’ annual Fixed Income Trading and Research Poll for high-quality insights and trade execution in a dynamic market environment.

Deutsche Bank has once again achieved multiple honours in the 2026 KangaNews Fixed Income Trading and Research Poll. The bank was ranked number one for international markets research for Australian fixed-income investors for the third consecutive year.

Awards overview:

Deutsche Bank achieved multiple top rankings across research and trading categories:

  • Best research on international markets for Australian fixed-income investors – third consecutive year
  • Third place in securitisation research (Mark Stone, Flow Credit Trading, Australia)
  • Third place in corporate and financial institution issuance research (Kalvin Fernandes, Credit Analyst, Australia)
  • Second place for secondary market support in Australian securitisation products
  • Fourth place for secondary market support in Australian corporate and financial institution bonds

Why this matters

The results reinforce Deutsche Bank’s position as a leading provider of global markets research for Australian institutional investors, combining international macro expertise with strong local market coverage.

Recognition across both research and secondary market support categories highlights the bank’s ability to deliver actionable insights and liquidity in a dynamic fixed-income environment.

These results follow Deutsche Bank’s strong performance in recent client surveys, including being ranked first in The Asset benchmark client polls for both APAC Credit Trading and Desk Analysis, reinforcing the bank’s local and regional expertise.

These rankings reflect the strength of Deutsche Bank’s global research platform, including contributions from leading strategists such as George Saravelos, Jim Reid, Francis Yared, Matt Raskin, Matt Luzzetti, Tim Baker and Lachlan Dynan.

The bank also saw improved rankings for its Australia-based trading desk including Mark Stone and Kalvin Fernandes, recognising their continued focus on the local credit and securitisation markets.

“In an environment of ongoing global uncertainty and rapidly changing market conditions, it is encouraging to see recognition from our clients, underscoring our role as a trusted voice, the strength of our insights, and our continued year-on-year progress.” Darren Boulos, Head of Global Foreign Exchange for APAC
