Asia’s Best Investment Bank for Financing 2025

Deutsche Bank has been named Asia’s Best Investment Bank for Financing 2025 by Euromoney, reaffirming its leadership in delivering innovative, client-centric financing solutions across Asia Pacific. The bank also secured top regional awards for:

  • Best Investment Bank for M&A in Australia, Hong Kong, and South Korea
  • Best Investment Bank for DCM in China
  • Asia’s Best Bank for Diversity and Inclusion
  • India’s Best Bank for Corporate Responsibility

These accolades reflect Deutsche Bank’s bold strategy, deep market expertise, and commitment to excellence in complex and structured financing.

Regional strength and strategic expansion

In 2024, Deutsche Bank executed 96 deals totaling USD 9.2 billion, spanning South Asia, Southeast Asia, North Asia, Australia, and Japan. The bank significantly expanded its presence in markets like Japan and India reported Euromoney.

The bank was involved in five out of seven US IPOs by Asian issuers in 2024. This sharpened focus on seeking out financing opportunities enabled the bank to emerge with strong capital market leadership and momentum. 

“Despite the geopolitics and macro headwinds, we feel our business mix, geography and competency mix is the right one,” said Amit Khattar, Co-Head of Global Financing and Credit Trading & Head of the Investment Bank, APAC. “Our financing business is in the best place it has been in over the last decade, and that momentum will only continue.”

Landmark transactions

Deutsche Bank has consistently demonstrated its commitment to financial innovation through several landmark transactions across the Asia Pacific region. These include:

  • Structuring the region’s first NAV bilateral facility for a special situations fund.
  • Underwriting a $1.25 billion syndicated loan for J&T Express.
  • Playing a pivotal role in Blackstone’s A$24 billion acquisition of AirTrunk in Australia.
  • Leading a $1.4 billion INR-equivalent financing for Mankind Pharma’s take-private deal, strengthening its local currency capabilities in India.
  • Maintaining momentum in China with multiple offshore renminbi transactions despite a challenging cross-border environment.
